Migration
Windows to LINUX
transnet has an extensive breadth of experience with the migration of Windows Servers and Workstations to LINUX. As an ISP we have been from the foundation of the company familiar with various UNIX platforms. The majority of our servers run on LINUX so it was only a matter of time before our office workstations found their way to LINUX. A few lonely and firewall isolated Windows machines are still standing around for a few programs which have not been ported to LINUX, but even in these cases the servers are accessed from LINUX based workstations. Thanks to LINUX viruses and exploits are a minor problem and the few security patches which need to be applied are a manageable and simple routine.
It doesn't always have to be Windows!
Give us a call: we will allay any fears you may have about migrating to the operating system of the future. We have been working for years with Suse, Debian and BSD. Our certified RedHat engineers are experts at solving possible problems with various hardware vendors.
We can provide you with the same economical and secure IT system commendably used by Munich for the city's administration.
IPv4 to IPv6 Migration
The New Internet, officially known as Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), has been mandated to replace the existing Internet standard (Internet Protocol version 4, or IPv4.) This year was marked by an increased urgency in regards to its implementation. There are many advantages of IPv6 when compared with IPv4 and there is no reason not to begin your network migration today.
Analog to Voice over IP If you are a home user with a broadband connection, we can set up your VoIP adapters for you so that you can use best-effort VoIP services (e.g. Vonage, Skype). If you have a business and need service-level agreements that guarantee voice quality, we can help you as well.

Our compliments to the city of Munich for her decision to use LINUX-Debian as the backbone for her administrative network. Since 1995 transnet has had servers running on Debian. The complete web server pool of the Messe-München, including sites like Systems, Electronica, and Bauma, was conceived and implemented by transnet. It is a high performance Debian cluster which has been running for 2 1/2 years with no serious problems or significant downtime. Transnet successfully vaulted over the Great Wall of China with a Debian based Ticket system sold by the Messe-Muenchen to the Peking Messe.
