transnet Internet Services GmbH
tr@nsnet was founded by a small group of management and computer scientists who were working in Munich in 1994. That was the year when the NFS backbone was liberalized and commercial institutions were permitted to offer Internet access.
The company's early entry into the market resulted in tr@nsnet becoming a demanded and competent Internet Services Provider for many middle-sized German and international companies who realized that the Internet would be an important medium of information and communications. Skillful consulting, tailored services, constant telephone availability, and the speed at which the staff reacts to customer requests are the grounds for tr@nsnet's customer friendly reputation. It is a reputation of which we are proud and intend to maintain. The McDonalds, Burger Kings and Wienerwalds of the Internet marketplace will never be able to compete with our services.
tr@nsnet has approximately fifteen fixed employees and a changing number of free lancers and partners depending on the number of projects that need to be staffed.

The administrative offices of tr@nsnet are found at an historic Munich location: direct at the end of the Isarbrücke where Au, Haidhausen and Lehel intersect. The building, 3 – 5 Lilienstrasse is under monument protection. It was once the factory where the Meiller Company produced the world's first dump truck. Now it is connected to high- speed fiber rings from Colt and Telecom that cross the Isar at this point. Our high-tech machine park is located in our Class A datacenter in west Munich.
